New World server transfer for Amazon characters as fans hunt down Twitch Drops | Games | Entertainment

Amazon has confirmed that New World server transfer options are being worked out after a hectic launch day.

Not only are players struggling to connect to their chosen worlds, they are also busy trying to hunt down and claim the latest Twitch Drops.

Server wait times prevented some players from playing, although other different server worlds were added during September 28.

The good news is that there are plans to introduce character server transfers after the flow of players calms down.

A post from Amazon covering the New World launch this week explains, “It’s been an incredible 24 hours, and the support for New World that we’ve seen so far has been incredible.

“We understand that some players experience long wait times, and we are working hard on a few items to help resolve these issues.

“We are continuing to build additional servers and will increase the capacity of our existing servers once we have properly tested these changes.

“Our only goal right now is to get everyone to connect and play fast. To ensure that everyone can find an open world now, while also finding a home in Aeternum with their long-term community, within the next two weeks we will be offering the opportunity for all players to move their characters to a new server. of their choice at no cost.

“We appreciate your patience as the New World community grows and encourage you to solidify your long-term server plans for yourself and your business. “

All you need to be eligible for Drops is to log into your Twitch account, set your profile to Online, and achieve the Drop goal. Once earned and claimed, simply link your Twitch and Steam accounts to receive in-game rewards.

Typically, Drops will appear in-game within 24 hours, and for the Verdant Trapper Drop and Golden Rage Drop, they will be available on September 28, 2021 when New World launches.

Broadcasts marked with the tag “Drops Enabled” will be the ones to watch, but it should be noted that this Drop campaign is set to unlock 2 pieces of the Vinespun 14 piece weapon skin set after 1-2 hours of viewing.

Earning all 14 coins will require 10 cumulative audience hours on any combination of Creator Channels that activated Drops when New World aired.
