Katharine Graham, other US stamps assigned Scott numbers

Scott Catalog News by Charles Snee

Another month has passed, and that means it’s time to reveal another batch of new Scott catalog numbers.

The editors of the Scott Catalogs assign catalog numbers to new issues each month from the United States, United Nations, and postal services around the world.

The new Scott numbers provided here are for recently issued US stamps. New Scott issues for worldwide stamps are given in the Scott New Listings update in the expanded monthly issue of Linn Stamp News.

This month’s listings include Scott issues for the 2-ounce undenominated (78¢) Distinguished Americans commemorative stamp honoring Washington Post editor Katharine Graham, $2 Floral Geometry definitive stamps and $5 and the undenominated commemorative stamp (58¢) honoring the first lady. Nancy Reagan. The $25 Redheads federal duck stamps are also official of Scott, issued in a pane of 20 and a sheet of one.

What do these Scott numbers mean? In short, the listing of each stamp in an upcoming edition of the Scott 2023 catalogs.

Having these numbers handy will allow you to easily locate these stamps in Scott catalogs and learn more about their production and values.
